The most delicious peppermint chip cookies that are perfect for a fun and festive holiday season! When adding chocolate into any recipe, my favorite chocolate chips to use are Guittard. High quality chocolate chips really make for a fantastic cookie! Hope you enjoy every bite of peppermint chocolatey goodness!
1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup Guittard white chocolate chips
1/2 cup Guittard milk chocolate chips
4 candy canes chopped
In a large bowl mix together melted butter and sugars on low speed until smooth. Mix in egg and vanilla on medium speed. Mix in baking soda and salt. Then slowly mix in flour. Add in chocolate chips and crushed up candy cane. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and scoop 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie onto baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350 line a second cookie sheet and place chilled balls of dough onto sheet. Bake for 11-15 minutes. Remove earlier for a softer cookie. Let cookies cool on sheets. Enjoy!
