The easiest and yummiest almond sugar cookie bars topped with fluffy cream cheese frosting! Perfect for any occasion or party, these bars are at the top of my list as one of my all-time favorite recipes I love to bake all year round. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter softened
8oz cream cheese softened
1 egg
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 cups flour
Frosting:
8oz cream cheese softened
1/2 cup butter
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp almond extract
1tsp vanilla extract
splash of milk
food coloring drops
Instructions:
Heat oven to 375
Grease the cookie sheet with cooking spray
Mix all cookie ingredients together and spread into a cookie sheet. The dough will be sticky. Spread with a wet knife.
Bake for 17-18 minutes.
Blend all frosting ingredients together and frost when cookie bars are cool.
