Old Fashioned Peach Crisp

The best and easiest peach crisp recipe you and your family are going to love!


Crumb Topping:

1/2 c flour

1/2 old-fashioned oats

1/2 brown sugar

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp cinnamon

dash of nutmeg

dash of salt

1/3 c cold butter cut up into small pieces


Peach Filling:

3 1/2 lbs peaches peeled and cut

1/4 c white sugar

2 TBSP flour

2 tsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp vanilla

dash of salt

dash of cinnamon


Instructions:

Peel and cut peaches put in a bowl with 1/4 c sugar and let sit for about 20 min.

Make crumb topping by adding all of the ingredients to a bowl. Use a pastry blender or fork to cut in the butter. Refrigerate while the oven heats to 375.

Drain the peaches and keep 1/4 c of peach juice add it to a small bowl and discard the rest.

Stir in flour, lemon juice, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour mixture over peaches and stir.

Pour peaches into an 8x8 pan and sprinkle oat crumb mixture over the top.

Bake for 25-30 min until golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
